Today more than ever, excellent customer service and effective communication are paramount to meeting the needs of customers. American Roller Company has made two giant steps toward improvement, in both of those areas. The purchase and implementation of a Cisco® IP system allows customers to contact any American Roller or Plasma Coatings Division facility through a centralized call center, regardless of the geographic location.
Calls can be forwarded to mobile phones, PDAs and PCs for traveling sales and management personnel, transferred from one site to another, or )quickly routed by accessing an up-to-date, centralized company directory. These are only a few of the features that will translate into better customer communication throughout the American Roller Company.
The Company also launched a new CRM (Customer Relationship Management) package that works in conjunction with its MRP system. All customer contact names, phone numbers, notes, and account historical information can be unified in one platform. Account Managers, Regional Customer Service Representatives, and Management team members will better understand each customer and have instant access to details regarding the customer’s focus areas, goals, and requirements. We believe that this will give American Roller and its Plasma Coatings Division a bigger, better picture of each customer. The CRM system will also be used as a tool in reporting manufacturing issues. The system will track follow-up and resolution on any customer problems, drilling down to root causes and corrective action steps.
